toilet roughin in basement


the existing pipe roughed in the concrete is only 9.5" from the finished wall and toilet wont fit, what can I do

Move the flange so its centered at 12.5 from the finished wall. What noob framed your walls?

Or get a toilet offset flange:


Or get a 10" rough in toilet (it may fit, there is usually a little wiggle room).

Hey Beep, they should call them Goof Flanges, like goof plates for electrical outlets where noobs cant measure.

Yeah, unfortunately I am having to use one currently. When your basement floor is all broken up and you are roughing in the plumbing below grade, it is easy to be off a couple inches when you are just eyeballing where wall is going to be. I like things to be snug, and sometimes it bites my.

I will gladly admit to this goof if it will save me from busting out the concrete floor again.
