Toilet question

Good afternoon, I have just a quick question for you guys. In my kids' bathroom I have noticed that in the bowl of the toilet I have a constant flow of water coming from the underside of the top of the bowl. What in the world could be causing this? Thank you in advance for any input.

The flapper is leaking, replace it. It's the part that opens up in the tank to allow the water to come down.

edit: it also could be the fill valve is set too high allowing water to flow in the pipe. if so, adjust it to shut off just before reaching the top of the pipe (a half inch or so)

Toilet question

When I replace a flapper I clean the surface it sits on with a fine scotch-brite. This gives me a clean/smooth surface for a good seal.

Toilet question

If anyone else reads this before jumping to replace... Try to wipe the flapper and where it sitss. Those tablets and cleaners can sometimes leave a film that just needs to be wiped off
