Toilet Off-Set Flange

Hi there, are toilet off-set flanges frowned upon? Do they have a reputation to give problems? My toilet in the basement sits about 4 feet from a waste basin that pumps into the septic tank...that short traveling distance means I could use a 6 L toilet vs a 13 L, right??

Thanks..

When installed correctly an offset flange is not a problem.

There's a right and wrong way to install them?

It's just like any other flange. Make sure it's just above the floor and properly attached.

Tricky though if you ever tried to run a 11/16' or 3/4" snake down one and catch the vent the right way.

Really? I had no idea they were illegal in some places. Take Ron the Plumbers advice then and check.
