Toilet issues

I'm curios why you can't use regular drain cleaners on your toilet?

Bad for the pipes, if you have a septic system it will kill the good bacterier that's breaking down the soilds, they almost never unplug a stopage.
It makes it unsafe for anyone having to open up the clean out or snaking the drain to really clean out what ever is stopping the flow.
