Toilet Flange
Hi, what type of screws and how long would be needed to install a PVC toilet flange to floor? Floor consist of ceramic tile, backerboard, and 3/4 plywood.
Thanks to all. |
#14 x 2 1/4" stainless flathead sheetmetal screws
|
You also could use Tapcons, too.
For drilling through the tile, tap a starter point with an awl or tape a washer over the drill spot to keep the drill bit from "walking" away when you first start drilling. Good Luck! Mike |
2-1/2" SS square tip heads, drill holes in tile first.
|
I used 3" SS on mine. It had the aluminum flange though.
|
A #12 or #14 stainless screw that would be @ 1/4" longer than all you have to penetrate should do just fine.
Ron, why do you prefer the square heads? I just started seeing the combo (square-slotted) heads in my area. |
No reason, there cheaper and stronger then brass screws when securing closet flanges.
