toilet filling up reservoir to slowly

Ive checked the tank in the toilet and checked the lines to see if their was any clogs, dont see any clogs. What else could be causing the reservoir tank to fill to slowly?

How is your building plumbed? Galvanized, copper, PEX? Do you have an older supply stop at the toilet? Have you checked to see if you have a kinked or simi-flattened supply line to the toilet? If the toilet is older the float fill valve may have rust, calcium, or sand debrie holding the seal inside the valve partially closed. How is the house water pressure? Is the water main turned on fully?

How did you "check the lines" for clogs? Did you take the top off the fill valve/ballcock to flush it out? If you close the shut-off valve behind the toilet, does it actually stop the flow of water into the tank, or does it continue to fill? If it continues to fill, the rubber washer inside the stop/shut-off valve may have disintegrated and is clogging the valve. You'd have to shut the water off to the whole house; remove the bonnet, flush out the bits of rubber; replace the washer; re-install the bonnet; turn the water main back on.

New toilet guts are less than $10.00 and can be installed in about 30 minutes.

I'd start by regutting the thing--If you disassemble the old one to check the flow-a smart person would have a replacement on hand, just in case, any way.

Just a suggestion--MIKE--
