Toilet fill valve "refluxes"

A few days ago there was a noise coming out of the toilet tank --- the water was coming out at the top of the fill valve. We purchased a new fill valve and installed it. The water/noise stopped for about 5 minutes but unfortunately the water still comes up, almost like a reflux, from the pipe every 2-3 minutes. What can we done to fix this problem.

Sounds like the flapper valve is leaking and the valve needs to refill the tank. Drop some cake coloring in the tank and see if it comes out in the bowl without flushing.

I changed the Flapper and that took care of the problem. Thank you for your tip.
