Question

Toilet distance from wall?

The plumber left the center of the poty hole less than 12" from the finished wall. Can i install standard size bowl? I thought it should have been more like 15"?

12" should be OK with a modern bowl.

Standard is 12 1/2" from the studs to the center of the drain.

I've had a few toilets where the tank was only about 1/4" from the wall before. Can't remember what type they are offhand, but in most cases, no problem.
