Toilet bubbles when other toilet is fushed??

This is the first time I have ever seen this. Does anyone know why my master bath toilet will bubble/girgle when the spare bathroom, across the house is flushed? I just started doing this in the past couple of weeks. It won't do it all the time, but will occasionally. THnaks.

Often times that means there's a blocked vent.
No noise from the sinks or a sewer gas smell coming from the sink drains yet?

Another common cause---the main line or septic tank is running slow---you may need the line rodded soon---

This time of year, septic fields often get soaked with rain and snow melt---this can cause the drains to run slow.

Toilet bubbles when other toilet is fushed??

Has anyone actually run across clogged vent that effected the flush of a toilet or any fixture in a home, i guess its possible but in 35 plus years ive never run across it. maybe varmints getting into them, i ve had tons of tree frogs in them but never enough to create a clog.

main sewer pipe needs to be hydrojetted or power rodding.

Toilet bubbles when other toilet is fushed??

Thanks for all the input. I apologize for a redundant post, but I was already having a bad day and then heard the toilet bubble. So I immediately posted this before searching. I found several other post, similiar to mine and I think I will start the troublshooting now. The vents seem to be easy to get to, but as others have eluded, the main drain may be the culprit. Again, thanks for the info and sorry for the repeat post.

Why would bubbles come up in a toilet if there is a clog in the septic system? WHy wouldnt the trapped air simply go out a vent pipe? I think he has an unvented condition.

Pretty sure the lack of a vent would have shown up earlyer then 35 years.

It's been my experience that vent clog may be your culprit .

Toilet bubbles when other toilet is fushed??

Hey, thanks for the input. I have been working on this for a while now and still have not resolved it. Short of spending money on a camera, I have looked as far down as possible in the vent tubes and also ran a snake down. Nothing! I was also told that I should take my garden hose and run it down the vent tube and monitor the sinks for back-up. Is this advisable? I don't want to flood my house or anything, but I am assuming the vent tube is built into the plumbing, so it should all drain out. I am hoping it is in fact the vent tube, but I am running out of options. Anyone have some other suggestions, before I start looking into getting a plumber with a camera? I'm afraid the plumber is going to cost me an arm & leg, and right now I just don't have the money to spare. Thanks.

Any time you have an issue with drainage, we need to know what your main soil stack drains to. ie City Sewer, Septic System, etc. It is also good to know where you live, as some problems are regional.
