Toilet Bowl emptying inconsistently

I noticed a pretty intense leak at the base of my toilet yesterday. I removed the toilet to find a wax ring that looked like it was not making contact with the toilet bottom. I replaced it while doubling up the ring to ensure a seal is made between the floor and toilet.

Now I can flush the toilet once successfully, but a second flush just fills the bowl with no water emptying. It then drains slowly over a couple of hours. Sometimes the second flush yields a small air bubble in the bowl.

What in the world am I missing?!?

Sounds like you squished the wax ring and it is partially blocking the pipe---

Or--your pipe was plugged up before the leak---and it's still plugged up----

yes agree with mike seem like a clog thats what caused the seal to leak in the first place...lift commode start dumping 5 gallon buckets... you should see drain back up....if not reset commode making sure bowl wax is straight...
