Tile Surround


Does the cement board go over the flange of the tub before tiling or just above? Every stud doesn't sit flush against the tub. If the cement board doesn't have to go over the flange the tile transition from cement board to tub will be even.

You are posting your tiling questions in the plumbing section. Perhaps ask a moderator to move your threads to get more help.
Depending on the information that was asked on your other thread, after the studs are aligned horizontally and plumb vertically, you can notch out the bottom of the cement back to fit over the tub flange. You still need a minimal gap between the CBU and the tub deck.
