ticking sound in wall

In my both bath rooms I can hear a ticking sound coming from wall behind mirrors. All the water comes in from basement up thru the floor, full basement exposed pipes.Any ideas why I hear the ticking in the bath rooms not in kitchen ,only when hot water is running in the bath rooms??? COPPER??
