Question

Three tubes on drinking water faucet

I am replacing my drinking water faucet and noticed that the new faucet has three tubes; one threaded tube that resembles the tube on my existing faucet and two small tubes labeled 1/4" inlet tube and 3/8" outlet tube. What are these other tubes for? The hole in my stainless steel sink is only large enough for the threaded tube. Do I need to connect the two small tubes to something or can I just cut them off at the base of the faucet so that I don't have to make the hole in the sink larger?

You might have picked up the dispenser for the under sink hot water dispenser? They look the same except for the additional connection.

You have the RO faucet.. it has the three.
1 for the drinking water
2 for the discharge from the ro system.
1/4 to the faucet and 3/8 to the drain.

Three tubes on drinking water faucet

Thanks, Akpsdvan. What is an RO faucet? Can I still use it and can I cut off the two small tubes or do I need to connect them to something? The instructions that came with the faucet are not clear.

You could cut them, but that is a waste............ take it back and get one with out the extra tubes.

Doing it right the first time keeps one from having to do the job over.
