Thermostatic shower mixer valve

I have Mira Excel (mk1 1990-1996 style) which leaks. Changing the seals did not fix it. A new catridge costs 110-137. Would it worth replacing the catridge (old technology) or, since the fitting is over 10 years old, would it be better to change the whole valve with Mira newer version at 350, or would any other maker/brand do the same just for 150-200?
Thanks,
Dilemma
