Test kit for shower pan...HELPPPPP!

I have my membrane and commercial drain installed now in my walk in shower.
I have to test it for the insperctor to see that it holds water. I went out and bought a test kit but after installing it ,it looks like its to used during testing water pressure.
Item is made by Oatey 33403 2 red disc's sandwitched between a rubber ring with a butterfly bolt on top that tightens and expands in drain...

Anyway all the water just drains out the weep holes like its suppost to, so how do I test it for the inspector and what kit do I buy...That will hold the water in the shower, he wants to see standing water in the shower about
1 1/2" to 2" of water.and he wants us to do this the day befor he inspects. going crazy please help

You want the "inflatable bulb" with the long neck. Place it in the drain pipe past the weep holes and fill it with air.

Drop a blow up balloon test ball below the weep holes then fill it up.

That little bugger may be way too sophisticated for Home Depot, you may have to go to a "real" plumbing supply house.

I'll look around when I get a minute, I have no idea what the name of that thing is these days.
