Tap handle wont come off?

just moved into a new place, and realised the tap is leaking. I tried removing the tap but there are no screw or any signs of what is holding it in place? Any tips on removing the tap handle?
Here is the picture of the tap

That is one crazy handle.
I'm no plumber by any means, but it may just unthread if you turn the "jewel" counterclockwise.

A long shot, maybe the base unscrews and by doing this, the entire handle lifts off of there.
Fix it right the first time, so you won't have to fix it a 2nd time.

Use a small mirror to look for a set screw in the metal base of the handle.

If you don't find anything, look for a name anywhere on that faucet or it's handles. Then phone around to the plumbing wholesalers in your area to find out who the sales rep or sales agent is for that make of faucet.
