Which TANKLESS water heater is best?

Looking into buying tankless water heater which brand and model do you reccommend?

From this and other Forums, Rinnai seems to get the best reviews. To decide what model you need, you need to know what you will be expecting the unit to supply. Hopefully, you do not have hard water or lots of minerals in your water supply. These conditions are a problem for tankless heaters and are not recommended. If you are having one installed, make sure you use someone who does service on them. Many Plumbers will install, but not service them since they are very technical and there are warranty concerns.

Do you not reccomend buying one?

We install Noritz 7.51 gpm gas units only and have had no problems with them if they are gas sized properly. Noritz is supposed to only be available to the licensed plumbing professional. It is not a DIY project in my opinion.

No gas... electric I would need.

Bosch (spelling?) Never read/heard anything good about them.

Bosch is total garbage. I don't like tankless heaters in general and as for the electric ones I always recommend agaisnt them unless it's a point of use heater for a garage or something.

What size is the service coming into your house? If it's 150 amps you might eeak by the power requirement for the thing but it's pushing it. 200 and you should be alright.
