Tankless Water Heater

Well, I followed the advice I received on draining my water heater and sure enough I found plastic pieces in the water. (Tank built in 1994) Water pressure is good now but I know it is only a matter of time before I have to swap it out.

I am considering a tankless. Does anyone have an opinion/experience on these? We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, laundry, dishwaher and three bathrooms.

The only real advantage of a tankles system is never ending hot water. The initial cost is so much higher, it will offset most any energy saving costs. The cost of installation is usually much higher, because the vent needs to be a larger diameter. They are just not all they are hyped up to be. IMNTBHO

I installed a few. The coustomers swear by them, and I am getting ready to build myself a new house and plan on using them too. Mine will be the smaller ones that go under the fixtures. Ive never fooled with the larger central ones yet though, but I do hear they are more energy efficiant

Ayuh,.......

I bought,+ installed an Electric 1 in my summer house last summer,....
The only Issue was running the 80amp leg required for the subpanel, which really wasn't such a bad job......

The Electric Bill for that house Dropped to next to Nothing after the install,.....
And,......
The Never Ending Hotwater is Really Nice.......

Btw,.......
It was bought on ebay,...... A Steal of a Deal.....

My electric bill is through the roof and we have a very old 82 gal water heater/ electric. We are thinking tankless is the way to go for lowering electric bill and on demand hot water not warming water 24hrs daily. Your thoughts?
