sweating copper


Are there any secrets or products to put inside existing water lines to stop the drip while sweating joints together.

i've seen little glycerine balls, looks like a giant "horse pill" at home depot for that job...

i've used a wad of bread before, shove it up there and it will disolve

Yeah "white" bread. Not pumpernickel, wheat, any of that other healthy garbage. I always take the crust off, break off what you think you need, then roll it in a ball tell it's kinda doughy, jam it in and sweat.

If you wanna get fancy you can use a tool called a Jet-Swet http://www.brenelle.com/

Don't forget to unscrew any aerators you have on faucets, etc to let the bread residue flow out or you find low pressure
