Supporting vertical PVC runs
Does no one worry about supporting PVC pipe on vertical runs? I have found virtually no mention of it between the book I bought, Google, and this forum. I remember reading somewhere that vertical pipe runs should be supported on each story (floor). Didn't find any products of use at both big box stores. I could use a riser clamp. The type that are used with steel/iron pipe but that seems like overkill. How is this handled in new construction?
FWIW the line I am constructing is a 1.5" dia drain/vent. It will run from the basement rafters up through one story, where a sanitary tee is, to the attic where it goes 45 degrees for a little bit and then finally out the roof.
