supply side of booster pump - need flex hose
I am looking for a flexible solution to the supply side of a home booster pump. I am replacing a copper pipe that went into an old pump. The cooper is fine, but it is too difficult to get a good seal to my pump after the pump is bolted to the floor (it tends to want to bend the connections slightly). At least one connection needs to NOT be permanent - so the pump can be removed for service etc.
On the output side- there is a simple flexible water line. I am not worried about that one as the pressure will hold the hose open. However, using it on the supply side I am more concerned with collapse (as it is sucking from that side).
Any ideas? Could I use the flexible PEX piping that is being sold now?
Ideally, I could order a flexible length (only 24") with the female fittings already crimped on, so I can solder a male connection onto the copper side, and spin both sides of the flexible pipe on. Anyone have a good online source for this type of thing?
Thanks in advance.
How about using a union on the suction side.
