sump pump installer


i live in illinois--does anyone absolutely know if you need a plumbers license to go into business as a sump pump installer--i love putting them in and i want to make sure it is legal ---i need to know as soon as possible---thanks

Hard to tell without checking local laws, but in a liberal state like Ill. I would guess you need a license to get get a license.

While your state may or may not require a license.
Local areas may require one even if the state doesn't.

You need to check with your state. And all local jurisdictions.

I think we need a license to advise you.....

Just call your local town hall, usually the building department can give you that info. It won't be a secret.

In Michigan I think it is a dewatering license that is needed. It is in the drilling code.

in IL. there are 2 plbg. codes.COOK co. where all of my tax money goes and the rest of IL.
