Sump pump brand

I believe I've seen Zoeller as the most preferred/recommended sump pump brand on threads on this site.
They've 4 models I'm considering:
MODEL 53
Cast iron switch case, motor & pump housing
Engineered thermoplastic base
Engineered, glass-filled, plastic impeller with metal insert
Stainless steel guard & handle
Bearing - lower & upper oil fed cast iron
MODEL 57
All cast iron construction
Stainless steel guard & handle
Bearing - lower & upper oil fed cast iron
Cast iron impeller
MODEL 55
Bronze switch case, motor & pump housing
Engineered thermoplastic base
Engineered, glass-filled, plastic impeller with metal insert
Stainless steel guard & handle
Bearing - lower & upper oil fed bronze
MODEL 59
All bronze construction
Stainless steel guard & handle
Bearing - lower & upper oil fed bronze
Bronze impeller

My current one is 18 years old and still working fine but I'm afraid that it will give out when you least expect it so time to replace it. We don't get much water into the sump pit but there is always some there. I guess I'm more interested in longevity than pumping capacity overall.

Any suggestions on these 4 (or another model or brand)?

TIA,
Bob

I install mostly M53's. 1/3 hp. pumps a lot of water, last a long time.

So what do you do when the power goes out?

If you looking for the world's best sump pump, checkout the NexPump Ai5600 series. They will run under conditions when every other brand/system has stopped.

when the power goes out a battery backup will run 6-8 hours and then stop pumping when the battery is dead. If on city water a water backup is the best way to go.

People don't need to splurge on a generator if they don't want to.

They can just buy a high wattage inverter and just hook up to their car battery to provide temporary power to their primary sump or to keep their battery backup charged.

Sump pump brand

Update: I pulled out an 18-year old Zoeller M57 (once I got the crud off it I could read the label) and installed a brand new M57 and check valve. Both were identical (by chance) to what I bought off Amazon (delivery in 2 days for free!). Didn't have to cut any pvc; life is good! Nothing like a 15-minute swap with no problems, rare for me. Now, if the electricity stays on, Irene can do as she likes, at least my sump pump should not break down.
