Sump Back-Up

Yes and I plan to install one in my basin along with the electric pump. I discussed it with several guys as well as reading about them here. I also had a plumber tell me he has installed several and has one in his. I wouldn't recommend it as the only pump, but as a backup they are great.

But, I'm a DIY'r and others here are much better equipped to reply.

Sump Back-Up

I have yet to find a plumber who has actually installed one. I've been told they never heard of it, they don't work, or they've never installed one, but could do it. My pit is in a closet in my family room. I'm afraid to use battery back up because I read battery gives off fumes when charging, which isn't good for confined spaces.

I checked them out quite thoroughly --they look like a great idea --if you are not on well and septic--

Unfortunately they are not allowed in most of the towns that I work in----
