Suggestions for a new well pump

My well pump has been bad since last fall. The house is on city water, so it only runs my outside faucets and thus not a big deal. But I've grown increasingly annoyed now with nicer weather how I can't wash the truck,mower,4wheeler, etc or just grab a quick splash of water for something...
The part number is Goulds J04853L. Given that it's only uses is watering and power washing a direct replacement would likely be suitable but I wouldn't be opposed to going to a 3/4hp unit... The few pages ive read mention staying away from big box stores, so where do you all buy?
