Suddenly low water pressure

The water pressure (hot and cold) suddenly dropped to little more than a trickle in selected faucets in my house. What could cause this? Could it be a failure of the Therm-X-Trol tank?

Suddenly low water pressure

Ayuh,.... How cold is it where ya live,..??

If it's only Some of the taps, it's probably a localized situation between those that have pressure, 'n those that don't...

Suddenly low water pressure

It is above freezing, the piping is in a heated basement, and does not rise up an exterior wall.

The subject faucets are all on the same run. What really perplexes me is that both cold and hot are experiencing the pressure loss. Any thoughts on what could cause this would be greatly appreciated.
