stuck union on water heater


any tips to remove stuck union from nipple on water heater

stuck union on water heater


Usually ,I use a giant pair of channel locks on the bottom piece that screws into the nipple and a big pipe wrench on the nut----

What are you trying to do?--When replacing the heater,I usually cut the pipes above the unions and junk them with the old heater---

I like to use new di-elecrtic unions with a new heater---the washers are usually squashed beyond use anyway.---Mike----
