strange sound...

guys - can't figure out what's going on here. Yesterday i installed pipes and a shower mixer, all in one room. Everything seems to leak test just fine. I went to the restroom, flushed, and, went back to work on my bathroom. I noticed, as soon as the toilet stopped filling up, a pretty loud click seemed to eminate from the shower mixer. I've tried multiple flushes from multiple toilets, the same thing happens each time. The sound sounds like someone using a stapler, with a slight metalic edge to it....

any ideas!?

strange sound...

something else to add to this - a few flushes later playing with it, i've discovered the sound only occurs if the shower mixer is more then half way open - less then half way open, or off, and it doesn't make a sound.

I have it on for extended periods with a stopper in the end to test for leaks - which is how i discovered this - any ideas anyone?!
