Strange noise associated with hot water - New Question

I have a three story house(including basement) and in my bathroom on the top floor when you turn on the shower I sort of a thumping noise when the water starts to turn hot. It only lasts a few seconds and when the hot water has flowed a bit it stops.

I saw the thread "Strange noise associated with hot water" where the answer was "The piping is too tight inside the holes it is passing through so as it expands as the hotwater comes through it is hanging up on the framing, other than opening up the walls and enlarging the holes your kinda stuck. I see this with drains a lot more than water lines but I see it often.
Water hammer would only occur when you are stopping the flow of water."

If this is indeed the problem, which I wont know for sure unless Im willing to rip out the ceiling an possible the wall to my shower.
Then my question is; will this cause my pipes to burst? If I must open the wall to fix the problem, Id rather do it now instead of after the pipe has burst and been spraying water down three levels of my house all day while Im at work.

Strange noise associated with hot water - New Question

Normal residential water pressure such as you likely have should not burst any pipes or fixtures, unless they're badly corroded or failing.
Don't worry about it.
