I recently replaced the sink and faucet in my bathroom. Ever since, when I use the cold water a strong odor comes from the faucet. It dissipates over time, but hte smell at first is very strong. Any ideas? The piping is plastic CPVC and I did have to repair a broken fitting (I used a CPVC coupling and CPVC glue),
May be the city has purged the lines for a seasonal check-up.
Call the water department and inform them. It may also be the result of chemical transition from the pumping station.
