First post here, but Ive gotten lots of help here before by just searching posts. But I did'nt see any old ones that applied.
My problem is fairly common I'm sure, I have a Stanadyne single control faucet for my shower/tub combo. Just yesterday it got very (I mean VERY) hard to shut off. To the point that I had to take off the control knob and give the (shaft?) a wack to get it off. We have stopped using that shower till we get it fixed.
Can any one tell me what parts I need and how to go about fixing it? Do I need any special tools.
Should I just call the plumber (which I don't mind doing but would like to know how long it should take so I can estimate a bill 1st)
