Stainless Steel clamps for pex?

I was wanting to know how durable the ss clamps are. I've seen a picture some where on the web showing a ss clamp that was cracked badly. I would prefer to use the ss clamps because of the ease of use and cost for the tool. If this is not considered a preferable methood I will spend the extra money and go with the wirsbo expander tool. Is there any concerns if I use ss clamps on the aquapex tubing since wirsbo no longer supports this methood of installaton.
