Soundproofing kitchen sink?
We have an open floor plan home and are interested in soundproofing our kitchen sink to eliminate a little noise. We bought our sink at Lowe's and it's a Kohler self-rimming cast iron sink (white).
In looking at it from the underside, it doesn't appear that there's any added insulation. Can we use spray-on foam insulation? Or, are we limited to using only a soundproofing mass loaded vinyl? Appreciate any advice. Thanks! |

Soundproofing kitchen sink?
cast iron sinks are probably the quietest sinks made. I doubt it'll be louder than the water coming out of the faucet, so whats the point in soundproofing one thing if the noise from the faucet is still there. It's not like the sink will always be making noise. Spray foam is just going to make a mess and hide any leaks you may get eventually
