Sound of water running in pipes
Hi! I live in a coop apartment. Six stories high. I'm on the third floor. I have been hearing water running in my bathroom, but I have no leaks. I'm on the third floor. I also hear it in the living room wall which is connected to the bathroom. The coop manager first told me it was coming from above, perhaps a toilet running. Now they say they think its below me in the 2nd floor Apt. which they say is in foreclosure. Water running down there. Could this be? I don't know whether to believe them? They can't get in because the women won't open door. Please advise.:(

If it is an apartment, and the water is not running in your unit. If you do not pay the water bill, then kick back, crack open a beer, enjoy life as the problem is anothers and not yours!!! You pay rent.....They make repairs, not your problem....

Sorry, Thought you would grasp the humor!!!! There is nothing you can do. Crank the TV up. You have already notified them of the problem, you are unfortunately hosed!!!

It is Bad
I would double check my toilet to make sure it is not running... put some food coloring in the tank and check the bowl an hour later if no color change you are safe.

Now contact the person that has the Co-Op by laws. They should state that in the event of repairs they are allowed to enter the apartment. Her allowing it to go in disrepair is going to cost the Co-op Money and in the end could raise you monthly payment to cover the negative balance from this year. The Co-Op I am familiar with will actually have a Lock Smith come open the Door with the Police present in this type of situation
