Slow Toilet

Have A Toilet That drains When Flushed; No whoosh! Have Tried To Snake Out And Have Even Removed To Check And Clean Out. Have Heard About Vacuum Or Lack There Of. Is This A Main Stack Blocked Or An Air Damn Somewhere In The Toilet Itself. If In The Toilet, where? Older Model With Plenty Of Tank Capacity. I've Tried Everything I Can Think Of.

If you can see the jet hole in the bottom of the bowl check to see if it is stopped up. If it is clean it out. a short screw driver works well. If it is stopped up the stoppage will likely be hard as a rock. Be patient and chip away to get it out. Also, use a coat hanger clean out all the holes in the underside of the rim. This should help your problem. If not, then move on to checking the drain lines and/or vent pipes for blockages.

Thank You For The Quick Response. Found This Hole In Second Bath Toilet, But Not The Problem Child. Looked Underneath With A Mirror; Nothing. Did, However, See Some Calcium Build Up And May Try A Dose Of C.l.r.

Replace the toilet with one of those toilet to go box. It's under $100 and that will fix the problem. Sounds like the toilet is bad.

Is there another bathroom directly above or below the problem toilet? If so observe that toilet as someone flushes the problem toilet. Should the water level in the bowl bounce noticeably, you may have a venting blockage in your drain piping system.
