Slow Drip second pressure balance cartridge

Hi all,
I recently installed a new American Standard Shower valve with Pressure balance unit and cartridge. The unit looks great but it will not completely shut off. There is a continual leak through the shower head.

After three days of trying different things, i had a new pressure balance cartridge sent to me. It was pretty good customer service. Unfortunately when i mounted this one, the same problem has arisen. It will not shut off completely.

Any ideas on what the problem could be? I can't imagine getting two bad pressure balance cartridges.
Cheers
C

Well at least they sent you a replacement for free. Could be a number of things, there are a lot of small parts inside those valves. Check out this utube video disecting the valve while your waiting for the experts to arrive.
