Default Sink troubles

My bathroom sink is having issues. The faucet is one of those with just the one knob that you push up for water and then twist left for hot and right for cold. Whenever I turn it all the way on and all the way to hot, I get rapid banging sounds and the water will kind of sputter. It sounds like a jack hammer. It only happens with this one sink and only when I turn the water to full pressure and all the way to the right.

I've taken the faucet apart to see if I could tell if there was something in the tubing that might be blocking it but I can't really tell. The sink has long, rigid, copper tubes that have bends in them so I can see up to the bends and up to the bends is clear.

Any ideas?

What you describe sounds like loose faucet washers, but that faucet does not have washers, just o-rings. Check the aerator and recheck the valve piston.

Sorry, I should have put this in my first post but I am a complete newbie to home repair, especially plumbing. So I don't know what the aerator or the valve pistons are. Everything I know I've learn by Googling it, lol.
