Sink Sprayer acting funny...

Ok, we replaced the faucets about 2 years ago, the new one came with a sink sprayer like this one:

http://www.rd.com/images/tfhimport/2...e003img002.jpg

About a month ago, I noticed the following:

When you have the faucet on high, hot or cold, and press the sprayer button, the sprayer will spray hard at first, but then cut down to about half strength and there is a whine noise when this happens. If you let off the button and wait a few seconds, it sprays at high strength a few more seconds, but then gets weak again.

Any suggestions on this one?

You need to replace the sprayer valve diverter (I'm not sure of the real name) in the faucet. It's the valve that cuts the flow to the spout and directs the flow to the sprayer.

zel,
Clutchcargo nailed it. Replace the diverter. I don't know what brand or type of faucet that you have, but the diverter is often in the valve body under the spout.
Turn the water off under the sink, remove the handle and/or the spout, pull the little diverter out, take it to the store and get one exactly like it, and insert the new one the same way that the old one was seated. Easy.
Good Luck!
Mike
