Sink hole too big for drain.
I have a small vanity that came with the sink but no hardware. I purchased a faucet that came with the drain assembly but when I go to the drain assembly through the sink hole, it practically sits by a thread.
What I mean is that the hole appears to be too big for the drain assembely. I will have little to no room for the putty to really catch onto anything? Any suggestions on a gasket of some sort that may make this work? Do I have to have something made? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks |

If it's a new sink, I'd contact the store, and see if they have another one you can swap them with, or at least a display model you can look at. Take your pop-up drain assembly with you so you can verify it before you leave.
If it's a sink you've had for a while, I'm not sure...I've never run into this before. Check with some local plumbers would be a good idea. If anyone's run into it before, it would be someone who does it every day.
