Sink Depth dilemna

I apologize ahead of time for the detail but it comes from a lack of experience and how to better express the problem.

Countertop guys come on Friday to install and have told me that is the time to tell them which of the 2 sinks I have at home I want. The templates that came with these 2 sinks are slightly different.

The first sink I bought has 2 X 8 inch deep basins which I had been told by the store (which is also who I contracted the cabinet installation thru and who did the measure) that should work. At the measure I was told that I should get 8 inch deep or less. I bought a compact version of a garbage disposal to hedge my bets.

Upon cabinet install it was determined that I should have been told 7 inches deep for the sink and that I may have to forgo the garbage disposal but to not return it until they came back to topmount after countertop install. The store also told me to bring home a 7 inch right basin and 9 inch left basin sink in case they would be able to cut a countertop hole that would accomodate both and leave the sink installers options.

Also, the piping is now slightly offset to the left hand side of the sink base.

Any input at all would be helpful. I can go without a garbage disposal much more easily than having plumbing problems.....

I am thinking that either sink might work without the garbage disposal but which one is more likely to work with a garbage disposal. The old sink was probably closer to 7 inches deep and the garbage disposal drained fine but the other side of the sink was very slow.

I thought I should add that from the top of the cabinet to the top of the drain is 14 inches.

How far off the floor is center of the tee in the wall where the pipes will drain into?

From the center of the pipe that the sink will drain into to the bottom of the cabinet = 12.5 inches and another 6.5 inches to the floor from the bottom of the cabinet.

The tee in the wall is too high, center of drain should be from 15" to 17" off the floor for the disposal to work with the drain at the wall, your at 19" and thats too high, unless you open wall and lower that tee, you will always have a slow drain problem, or forget about a disposal, still at 19" that might still be too high, then again it might just make it ok.

Just to be sure I understand correctly - either sink should be okay but I would be best off to skip the garbage disposal - is that correct?

It isn't in yet but the "store" says that Silestone counters are 3 cm (~1.5 inches).

I just got though measuring my sink I have a double bowl sink 5" depth right side and 8" depth left side, my drain to center is 19", with this sink I was able to connect a disposal on the right side and make the wall connection, any other depth for disposal would not work, my cabinet top it 37" off floor with top mount sink. With the height of your outlet at wall, the the depths of the sink you should be able to make the connection without the disposal with the sink you want. You will know more once it gets hooked up.

Thanks again - this helps me feel that I am better informed to make my decision and don't have to rely entirely on my contractors advice.
