Sink In The Basement

I am in the process of finishing a bar in my basement and want to install a sink. I have already run the water lines to the location, but am unsure about the drain/vent. The sink will be located approx. 5ft from my 3" main stack running up to the main level...

I assume I can cut into the main stack and run my drain, but can i cut in and run my vent through there too?

Sink In The Basement

Nope. You need to tie the vent into another vent on that floor or upstairs. You cannot tie it into waste stack. You should check your local codes. They may be different.

Sink In The Basement

There is a pump with a plastic box designed for isolated sinks like yours--that might allow you to move the sewage without breaking concrete--

Call a plumping supply house and ask about them.---I don't know if this is a possible solution in your case--Mike--
