Single-Lever Faucet Issues

My landlord recently installed a new single-level faucet in our kitchen (ball-type, I think). We have two problems:

1. It is very loose where the bottom of the spout sleeve meets the faucet base. We are worried that will pull the whole lever out with the tubes. How do I tighten it?

2. We added a Brita filter to the tap and now we have to play with it to get it to turn off completely. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Single-Lever Faucet Issues

call the landlord and have them fix this.
You pay for it in your rent.

No need to do DIY work when you pay for a working liveable dwelling in my opinion.
