I am wondering what could be causing my shower problem...I'm thinking possibly the mixing valve..but would like more input.
-When showering, water switches from hot to cold every few seconds throughout the shower.
-This does not occur with any other hot water faucet in the house
-Does not change with other faucet/toilet running/flushing
I live in a single story home with PVC pipe throughout- if there is other types of plumbing anywhere, I am not aware of it.
We have the same problem - just installed a DELTA FOUNDATIONS shower combo (B11 4900-c) from Home Depot and the tenant said he can get the water the right temperature but once he diverts it to the shower head its either HOT or COLD. I called Delta and the shower specialist lady told me she was sending a new set of springs and seals. I called again and the new shower specialist said no its not that, so she said she would send a new CARTRIDGE - that we probably didn't flush the line properly before installing and maybe some debris got in there. OK. So they said it might take 5-10 days and I don't have that kind of time since my tenant only has one bathroom and I'm not a "slumlord" LOL - so I went to Home Depot and got another brand new box and we installed it yesterday. WELL GUESS WHAT - SAME PROBLEM! We are at a loss as to what to do. We have a new water heater that is bringing plenty of hot water to the bathroom. Is it a pressure thing? Stumped! Thanks

thanks, yikes I didn't notice the date. I belong to a couple other places and its considered rude not to look for some people who have tried the discussion already! Will do - thanks
