Shower water not getting hot

I installed a one handle facuet installed in place of a two handle facuet in my bath shower. Upon trying it for the first time, when turning the handle all the way to the hot water side and waiting approx. 30 seconds, or longer, the water barely gets above luke warm. I realize that I can adjust the tempature on my water heater to increase the temp. I have never had a temp. problem in my home and in my other bathrooms, the water temp is fine. In the other bathrooms, I have two handle facuets in them.

Any suggestions if there is a problem or do I just adjust the water heater? Thanks!

By default the manufacture will set your valve to MIN flow for hot water, there is an adjustment gear (thing ma jig) on the valve. Look at the instruction on how to reset it.
What kind of a valve it it?
