shower valve

this is what is in my new to me house. excuse the dirtyness

the problem.
the HWH puts out HOT water. but this valve only puts out warmish water.
and, the handle only turns to the straight up position.
i believe that there is some kind of limiter inside of the assembly. but idk how to get into it to see/adjust.

it says DELTA on it.

Your anti scald valve may just need adjusting.
Not sure on that model but with most you remove the handle, the chrome trim
and there may just be a set screw that can be backed out a small amount to adjust it.

Go to:
http://www.deltafaucet.com/customers...html?document=
It looks like your fixture; info there explaining how to adjust the temperature limits.

little end cap pops off exposing limit setting which can be adjusted....
