Shower Valve

I have been installing shower valves for years working for a plumbing company but I never really chose the type of valve, I would just install whatever the homeowner or contractor would chose. But now I am actually working on my own house and trying to decide which shower valve to purchase; I am leaning towards Moen's Moentrol pressure balancing valve with pull/push on and off with temp memory and volume control. What about quality? Any opinions? Any thoughts about shower valves? Thanks, Patrick

i use delta 1700 series all the time i love it and only a few call back about drips and if i do it is a old house with a lot of junk in pipes easy quad ring $ 8 replacement and back to operation versus a moen cartridge that you have to pay $45 for or wait for moen to send customer one.
but that is just my experience with the 2 brands
i used to install moens for years when i lived in michigan that is all the company would use with those stupid crystal handles that broke or the lever handles that each one had its own adapter that seemed like you never had the right one for the lever customer wanted
