shower temp changes

Does anyone know why a shower might be warm then go cold for no reason. I have a tankless water heater and the sink will still have hot water. I can turn the shower off and back on and the water will get warm again.

Possibly a bad pressure balancing spool.

Which is inside the control valve for the shower.
If you can ID who made your valve the companys web site may have directions on how to fix it.
