Shower stalls and bases

I want to add a shower in a room in my house, has anyone had any experience with the Mustee Durastall shower or the American Shower base that are sold by Ace Hardware? I want this to last a while, but I also don't want (read can't) spend a lot of money buying a Kohler or some other high end shower or shower pan. Any suggestions or comments will be appreciated. Thanx

You get what you pay for, if you cheap out on the pan and drop a full bottole of shampoo just right it may break, just standing in it over time may form tiny cracks in it. Everyone I've replaced that was cracked was really thin and no support under it, once it's leaks it takes out the flooring below it and it's trash and can get real expencive to fix.
Is there plumbing and drains and a vent line where you want to put this shower? If not you may want to get some prices on getting it done before making any decisions.

54 not all of those type bases are made the same. Some are better than others. Look for one that has plenty of support ribbing in the base.
