Shower over toilet drain?

We are trying to put a single stall shower in our office. Concrete floor and there is already a drain from a previous toilet. Owner of the building refuses to rip up the floor to install a new drain and trap but said if we can work with what is there we're fine. So I'm thinking on building a shower above floor level, if that makes sense.

Just a panel-wall shower (no tile) and would use a pre-made pan, maybe 36x36. No trouble building a raised platform to put it on, but thoughts on how I could run a drain & trap into the existing toilet drain? Could it work?

Not going to work.
There's no trap in a toilet drain.
Sewer gas will just come up the drain.

I understand there needs to be a trap thus why I said we could build it on a raised platform and include the trap between the shower floor and the concrete.

Not legal bro. If the shower is so important break up the floor. OR purchase a raised shower Mustee base run the drain to a floor drain that has a trap. Also make sure you purchase a temp control pressure balanced valve and not the 2 handle piece of garbage that comes with it.

You will be creating an S-trap if you elevate the shower and place the P-trap below the pan---unless you can T- it into a vent--your installation will not be properly vented.

Your boss should spring for a jackhammer rental ($60.) and then the drain--P-trap and pan could be done properly and simply.
