Shower Mixer Valve : Misbehaving and Dripping

My Bristan Pisa (Shower) Exposed Mixer Valve runs cold, and has now started dripping. The original was fitted about 10 years ago. It worked well for about 5 years and started to "run cold" but no dripping. Upon telephoned advice from The Shower (or Bath ?) Doctor, I purchased a new cartridge (c. 80) and fitted it myself. This solved the problem, bur 5 years on .... problems are back again ! I wonder whether replacing the seals, cost c. 12, plus a "clean up of the cartridge" , cost now 90 new, may provide a solution. Another option would be to replace the entire fitting with a MIRA Gem 88 EV Mixer with separate flow and Temp controls, cost 156. Any views/experience/advice would be welcome . Thanks

My guess is, time for a new cartridge. While it is apart, check for rough surfaces that might speed up wear on o-rings, mating surfaces. Clean with 3m pads, steel wool or similar. Lubricate with plumbers grease.
